Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire

CSHQ (Children's Sleep Habits Questionnaire) is a widely used tool for assessing children's sleep habits and sleep problems. This simplified version contains 27 items, completed by a parent based on the child's typical sleep over the past week, with a total score of 27–81.

What this scale measuresThe CSHQ is completed by a parent based on the child's recent sleep and covers eight dimensions: bedtime resistance, sleep onset delay, sleep duration, sleep anxiety, night wakings, parasomnias, sleep-disordered breathing and daytime sleepiness.
